History of Maradona

Now I will give a bit of history from one of the greatest in soccer, Diego Armando Maradona known in Argentina as "El Pibe de Oro" (The Golden Boy). He was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He played in several teams throughout his career. The first team he played with was the Argentinos juniors from 1976 to 1981. Afterwards he played for the Boca Juniors (1981-1982). Then Maradona moved to Spain and he started playing for F.C. Barcelona in 1984 he won Copa Del Rey. After he joined the SSC Napoli, where he won two championships Coppa Italia and an Italian super cup, Maradona led his national team to victory in the world cup in 1986 winning 3-2 against West Germany. Maradona got notorious for one of the goals in the quarter finals against England which when the video tape was reviewed it was revealed that the goal was aided with his hand which Maradona claimed it was the Hand of God. In 1994’s world cup Maradona was sent home after failing a drug test for ephedrine doping. After serving a 15 month ban from the drug test he played for Sevilla FC in 1992-1993 he also tried coaching two teams leading Mandiyú of Corrientes (1994) and Racing Club (1995). He retired from soccer on October 30, 1997. Maradona spent a lot of time in battling with his Cocaine addiction and interned himself in a detox clinic on Cuba. Following that he started as a talk-show host, and he was successful in his new career. And recently he coached his national team for the world cup.
